School Day / Lá Scoile

School Hours:

• Junior and Senior Infants: 08:50 to 13:30
• 1st to 6th Class: 08:50 to 14:30

Latecomers:

• If arriving after 09:10, students should go first to the main office to sign in. All latecomers should enter through the main door.

Early Leavers:

• If leaving school before 13:30/14:30, parents/guardians should go to the main office via the main door. While waiting for their child to be collected, parents/guardians should 'sign' their child out in our register.

Breaks and Yard Time:

• Our school day includes two breaks:
  • Short Break/Sos: 10:45 to 10:55
  • Longer Break/Lón: 12:20 to 12:50
• During breaks, children are separated into the Junior Yard (Junior Infants to 2nd Class) or the Senior Yard (3rd to 6th Class).
• 6th class children often act as 'Yard Buddies' in our Junior Yard, helping to supervise activities, resolve conflicts, promote inclusion and serve as positive role models for younger students.

Assemblies/Tionól:

• We hold two assemblies every Friday:
  • One assembly for the junior side (Junior Infants to 2nd Class): 09:55 - 10:35
  • One assembly for the senior side (3rd to 6th Class): 09:10 - 09:50
• The assemblies provide a platform for celebrating birthdays, sharing news, singing songs and enjoying student performances. Additionally, they serve as opportunities to reward positive behavior, foster a sense of community, promote positive morale and encourage student engagement.
