As Principal of Scoil Réalt na Mara, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our new school website. Here in Scoil Réalt na Mara we pride ourselves in providing a happy, safe and inclusive learning environment for all our pupils. We are supported by an effective and dedicated Board of Management and Parents Council. Together with parents and guardians we work to provide the best educational experience possible for each of our pupils.
This new website will give you an insight into life in our school and the many curricular and extracurricular activities our children take part in that help them to grow and flourish as kind and caring members of our school community. The website is an important resource for keeping up to date with the most recent school policies, school newsletters and features on special events
Our school currently has 350 pupils. We have 14 mainstream class teachers, 6 SET teachers and 8 SNAs. We opened our first Autism Class, Rang Rockabill in 2023. We are situated on the coast road in Skerries, and we are fortunate to have such a vast amount of green space on the school grounds. Active play is an integral part of our school life. The children are encouraged to get outside and play each day here. The children in school take part in GAA, soccer, tennis, hockey, cricket, athletics, chess, school choir and Christmas concerts. We value student voice at Scoil Réalt na Mara - we have a thriving Student Council, Active School Committee and a Green School Committee.
