Agreed Report on Board of Management Meeting
Date of Board of Management Meeting: 16/12/24
- The Chairperson welcomed the Board and thanked them for their attendance.
- The minutes of the previous Board meeting were reviewed and approved.
- The Principal presented his report to the Board:
- The BOM acknowledged the work that went into the Open Day that was held on the 4th of December. It was very successful.
- The school has been successful in an application for an Emergency Works Grant for the electrical upgrading of the school.
- The Board discussed the Bí Cineálta Policy which must be in place for the 2025-26 school year. This will replace the current Anti- Bullying Policy. Mr Ó Fearraigh highlighted the significance of promoting positive behaviour and the ‘relevant teacher’ dealing with reported concerns. Guidelines in Bí Cineálta are clear and concise. At previous staff meeting, múinteoirí worked in groups in relation to the new Bí Cineálta policy and procedures.
- Policies: SPHE Policy and Supervision Policy reviewed and ratified by the Board of Management.
- The Board completed the Child Protection Oversight Report and received the Anti-Bullying Report.
- The Treasurer presented his report to the Board and the Board reviewed the financial position of the school.
- The Board discussed the need for a fundraiser in term two/term three of the school year.
