Agreed Report on Board of Management Meeting

Date of Board of Management Meeting: 11th of February 2026

  1. The Chairperson welcomed the new Board and thanked them for their attendance.

  1. The minutes of the previous Board meeting were reviewed and approved.

  1. The Principal presented his report to the Board:

  • Board informed that Child Friendly Safeguarding Statement is currently being worked on.

  • The resurfacing of the playground in Rang Rockabill has been scheduled for the February midterm at a cost of approximately €4000.

  • Parents Association has raised €2000 has been raised from the Bottle Return Scheme.

  • The hot meals scheme will be operational for the year 2026/2027. Mr Ó Fearraigh informed the Board that the school was in the tendering process.

  • Mr. Ó Fearraigh has applied for emergency works funding for a new gate and fence. He will obtain 3 quotes, and the necessary occupational therapist reports, in support of the application.

  • The school will close on the 3rd of March 2026 for whole staff training on the new Primary Curriculum.

  1. The Board completed the Child Protection Oversight Report and received the Anti-Bullying Report.

  1. The Treasurer presented his report to the Board and the Board reviewed the financial position of the school.
